No corn syrup solids, carrageenan, artificial additives, or harmful fillers. The ingredient list should be short and recognizable.
Presence of DHA, ARA, HMOs, iron, and key vitamins. The closer to breast milk's composition, the higher the score.
USDA Organic, EU Standard, Demeter Biodynamic, and Non-GMO certifications indicate stricter sourcing and production standards.

Help other parents by suggesting a formula for us to review and potentially add to our database.
As a mom of four, I know firsthand that the feeding journey rarely goes exactly to plan. In my own home, nourishing my babies meant navigating the complex balance of both breastfeeding and formula. But when it came time to introduce a bottle, the search for the right formula felt like a minefield of confusing labels and compromised ingredients. I built Aura & Ounce to cut through the noise. I wanted to create the trusted, independent resource I desperately needed at 2:00 AM—a place where you can find clean nutrition with total confidence, so you can get back to simply enjoying your baby. Because how you feed them is your choice, but what is in their bottle should never be a compromise.

Our Methodology
Every formula is rigorously evaluated on a 100-point scale to ensure your baby gets the cleanest, highest-quality nutrition.
Evaluates carbohydrate sources (lactose over corn syrup), fat blends (excluding palm oil), and overall ingredient cleanliness.
Assesses the whey-to-casein ratio to mimic breastmilk, and the inclusion of premium nutrients like MFGM, lactoferrin, and DHA.
Verifies third-party testing (like the Clean Label Project), heavy metal standards, and rigorous organic certifications (EU/USDA).
